Oddajcie rodzinie ciało zmarłego! Apel do polskiej prokuratury
Mimo, że prokuratura ustaliła tożsamość Erytrejczyka, który utonął w Bugu, od kilku tygodni nie wydaje rodzinie ciała. Dzisiaj po mojej interwencji prokuratura obiecała, że skontaktuje się w tej sprawie z bratem zmarłego.
Tak w czerwcu opisywałem, z czym mierzą się w sumie rodziny dwóch zmarłych na pograniczu.
“Dwie rodziny, które przekazały Prokuraturze Rejonowej w Białej Podlaskiej próbki DNA, wciąż nie otrzymały odpowiedzi w sprawie wyników badań. Chodzi o ustalenie tożsamości zmarłych, których ciała wyłowiono z Bugu.
Bliscy zmarłych — którzy będąc w Polsce rozpoznali ciała na okazanych im zdjęciach — czekają już ponad dwa miesiące na jakiekolwiek wieści z prokuratury. To właśnie wyniki badań DNA pozwolą ostatecznie zakończyć śledztwo, przekazać ciała rodzinom i umożliwić im godny pochówek.
Tymczasem ta sama prokuratura od kilku dni informuje media, że ustaliła już tożsamość jednego ze zmarłych. Media.
Z bratem zmarłego nikt się nie skontaktował.
Przekazałem prokuratorowi, by jeszcze dzisiaj poinformował rodziny o ostatecznych ustaleniach w związku z badaniami DNA. Wszystkie niezbędne dane kontaktowe od początku sprawy przekazałem śledczym.
Niemal codziennie, wraz z Karoliną Mazurek, dostajemy pytania od braci zmarłych: co z wynikami? Dlaczego jeszcze nikt ich o tym nie poinformował? Kiedy mogą zabrać ciała?
Co mamy im odpowiedzieć?
Bliscy myślą, że może w naszym kraju trzeba zapłacić łapówkę, żeby od prokuratury uzyskać taką informację.
O tym, że wyniki badań trafiły z laboratorium do prokuratury, osoby związane ze śledztwem dowiedziały się nie od prokuratury, lecz ode mnie — bo to ja sam musiałem zadzwonić do placówki, która otrzymała do zbadania próbki DNA rodzin zmarłych.
Jeżeli prokuratura, zanim poinformuje rodzinę, mówi w mediach o „sukcesie”, jakim jest ustalenie tożsamości zmarłego, to proszę się nie krępować i powiedzieć, jak udało się do tego dojść.
Jestem zbulwersowany — choć to za mało powiedziane — tym, jak osoba nadzorująca śledztwo (nie)komunikuje się z rodzinami ludzi, którzy zmarli w Polsce.”
Wówczas po mojej interwencji dostałem odpowiedź na temat zmarłego, którego tożsamość została ustalona. Wszystkie informacje przekazałem jego rodzinie. Ta wynajęła firmę, która miała się zająć transportem ciała do Erytrei. Jednak do tej pory nie można tego zrobić, bo nie ma zgody prokuratora na wydanie ciała.
Podobnie druga rodzina, która przekazała swoje DNA do zbadania kolejny miesiąc czeka na ostateczne wyniki badań.
